This Company Pays You to Recycle

Imagine getting PAID to recycle!

Yes, the eco-conscious among us already know that we should be conserving our natural resources and taking care of the environment we live in, and we don't need a cookie as incentive.

But, as long as you're recycling  anyway, you might as well enjoy a reward for it. And it might be just the thing you need to get hubby, the surly teenagers, or the neighbor who always throws bottles in the trash on board.

If you or someone you know could use a little reward for going green, check this out.

Recyclebank partners with hundreds of cities and municipalities nationwide to offer rewards to residents who recycle.

How does it work?

Sign up at recyclebank.com and receive a special recycling bin with a ID tag. When the bin gets collected, the ID tag is recorded, and the amount of material recycled is turned into RecycleBank Points that can be used at participating stores such as Target.

You can also redeem points for magazine subscriptions, restaurant gift certificates, hotel and travel coupons, or cool eco-friendly products from their online shop.

Recyclebank is a certified B Corp., meaning they use the power of their business to solve social and environmental problems.

Cash rewards would sure be nice (some real "green"), but with the potential to earn up to 450 Points per month, you can certainly find some rewards you'll enjoy just as much.

Read the fine print. Points expire if there is no points-earning or redemption activity on your account for 12 months.

Happy recycling!
